You may be eligible for certification as a Community Health Worker (CHW) in California while still a student, and the certification would carry forward with you after graduation. The CHW certification permits you to work in local communities carrying out an array of services for which you would be reimbursed via established Medi-Cal billing codes. As part of the certification process, you would complete online modules and then work with an interdisciplinary team to provide an array of behavioral, social, and biomedical services to underserved people and communities in communities close to Claremont.
