Webinar: Map Your River- A Live Public Health Career Workshop

Join our August workshop to hear from our amazing speaker, Adriana Jovanov, a public health practitioner whose career began not in a health department or clinic, but in the study of why people make the choices they make. With a background in anthropology and a Master of Public Health, she has spent her career building at the intersection of clinical systems, community health, and human behavior.

Today, she serves as a Program Manager of Hospital Partnerships at OneLegacy, one of the nation’s largest organ procurement organizations, where she works directly with hospital partners across the Inland Empire on referral compliance, staff education, and donor family support. Outside of her role at OneLegacy, Adriana chairs the Riverside County Coalition for Tobacco-Free Healthy Communities within the Riverside University Health System (RUHS), guest lectures in CBU’s MPH graduate program, and writes about practitioner-grounded career advice on Substack. Her path was anything but straight, and that’s exactly what makes her the person to talk about it.
In Adriana’s workshop, participants will map their public health career as a river — tracing where they started, what shaped them, and the one concrete action that moves them forward.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
  1. Analyze how non-linear career pathways can contribute to professional growth and advancement within the public health field.
  2. Create a practical action plan outlining steps they can take to break into the public health field they want to be in.
